Taro Yakumo
Taro grew up close to art from the environment created between his father, a painter, and his mother, a metal engraver, and began painting oil paintings in a painting class from an early age. After many years of devotion to music activities from junior high school students, he experienced contemporary art from around the world in various countries, such as studying abroad in Korea and staying in production in the United States. He was shocked by the completely different world of Japanese art that he had seen so far, and started painting again in earnest. Currently, motifs such as hashtags and SNS icons that symbolize the modern society that is living right now are incorporated into the work and expressed with a new concept.
